Once you know these chords, there are really a lot of songs that you could play with these. So here are the chords that you need to know:
E Minor
This chord uses only two fingers, either the index finger and the middle finger, or the middle finger and the ring finger. Whichever of the two methods is most comfortable for you is definitely okay. You can also strum all the strings, no restrictions here.
E Major
Another easy chord using only three fingers; the index finger, middle finger and the ring finger. Again, there are no restrictions, so you can strum all the strings as you wish.

A Major
An easy chord that is also using your three fingers like in E Major which are the index, middle and ring fingers. On the video, there are also other variations as to how to form the chord, but the most basic and the easiest one is using all your three fingers. This time, you should not include the Low E string, or the thickest string on the guitar when you strum.
A Minor
Another easy one which uses the same three fingers like in E major and A major. Like in A major, you don’t need to strum the Low E string again. There are also different variations to this chord, but just stick to whatever is most comfortable for you. You also have to avoid the Low E string again in strumming this chord.
G Major
Lastly, this is yet another easy chord. It still uses three fingers, or four, depending on which variation you’re most comfortable with. No restrictions here again, so you can strum all six string to your heart’s content.
So there you have it! Those five basic and simple guitar chords will take you a long way in playing different songs. So good luck, and happy strumming!
